Billing Coordinator & Business Administrator

Wanjura Carter is the Billing Coordinator for Genesis In-Home Care. She joined the team as a Direct Care Worker in 2013, and has served in several capacities since including Team Leader and Field Director.

As the Billing Coordinator Wanjura is tasked with oversight and completion of billing. She works in coordination with all levels of the team to ensure timely completion of the billing process. As a Business Administrator she serves as a pivotal support in various administrative tasks including training, payroll, compliance and more.

Throughout Wanjura's journey with Genesis, she has been recognized with several awards including the Direct Support Professional of the Year award from Genesis and an Exceptional Leadership award from Genesis.

Wanjura has committed herself to creating a Culture of Gentleness here at Genesis and embraces Gentle Teaching as our philosophy of care. She regularly attends conferences and workshops that center around Gentle Teaching.

Outside Genesis, Wanjura loves being a mom to her daughter Jakayla. She also volunteers her time to a dance group as their treasurer.
