Advantage Oakland is a resource center for Oakland County, providing leading-edge services and programs that help the county continue to make the transition from a manufacturing-based economy to a knowledge-based economy. Genesis Vice President, Robert Wright was recognized as a member of the Elite 40 Under 40 class of 2018 by Advantage Oakland and Oakland County Executive, L. Brooks Patterson.

Association for the Macomb Oakland Regional Center (AMORC)

AMORC is a peer-to-peer source of advice, support and advocacy for parents, family, guardians and friends of people of all ages with developmental disabilities.  

American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR)

The American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR) is a national, nonprofit trade association representing more than 1,400 private community providers of services to people with disabilities.

Arc of Michigan

The Arc of Michigan is a state chapter of The Arc, the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. The ARC of Michigan serves as an advocacy organization for both children and adults with intellectual and other related developmental disabilities in Michigan.

Arc of Oakland County

The Arc of Oakland County a local chapter of The Arc, the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. The Arc of Oakland County advocates for the rights and full participation of all children and adults with intellectual and other related developmental disabilities in Oakland County and in SE Michigan. The Arc of Oakland County also serve many individuals as a fiscal intermediary, including several individuals supported by Genesis. In 2014, The Arc of Oakland County recognized Genesis President and CEO, Paul Gallagher as the provider of the year and awarded Genesis a Dove Award.

Bator Legal

Bator Legal is a law firm in Birmingham Michigan serving individuals and companies with a focus on assisted living, employment and estate planning.

Commonwealth

Commonwealth is a resource which helps people find various activities, events and other social opportunities in the Metro-Detroit Area.

Community Housing Network

Community Housing Network is a nonprofit providing housing and housing resources for people with disabilities, the homeless, people with low income and other vulnerable residents of SE Michigan. Many of the people who are served by Genesis receive housing support and assistance from Community Housing Network.

Community Living Services

Community Living Services is a non-profit organization which provides supports coordination services and other supports to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and Kent counties in Michigan. Genesis partners with CLS as the organization provides supports coordination and other services to many individuals served by Genesis.

Creative Options Regina (COR)

Creative Options Regina (COR) is a non-profit organization in Regina, Canada that develops personalized support services for people experiencing disability. COR’s values and practices are strongly aligned with those of Genesis. Both COR and Genesis are rooted in the philosophy of Gentle Teaching and each focus on strengthening the fabric of companionship and community.

Detroit Wayne Connect (DWC)

Detroit Wayne Connect (DWC) is a continuing education platform for stakeholders of the behavioral health workforce, Strive to provide a variety of live and online courses for those serving adults with mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, children with serious emotional disturbances and persons with substance use disorders.

Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority

The Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority is an organization that provides an array of services and supports to adults with mental illness, individuals with developmental disabilities, children with serious emotional disturbances and persons with substance use disorders in Detroit and all of Wayne County.

Friends of Community Living Services (Friends of CLS)

Friends of Community Living Services is a non-profit organization that raises funds for people served by Community Living Services. The money raised at fundraising events held throughout the year is granted to people supported by CLS for opportunities such as community connections, starting or furthering their education, start-up funds for small businesses and other opportunities where funding is not available through medicaid. Friends of CLS is able to provide great opportunities for people who are supported CLS and Genesis.

Gentle Teaching International

Gentle Teaching International is family of people and organizations worldwide that work together to develop, promote and strengthen the values of Gentle Teaching each and every day. Gentle Teaching International hosts an annual conference which Genesis has participated in and the presented at.

GT Independence

GT Independence enables individuals with long term care needs or disabilities to easily hire organizations such as Genesis. GT Independence helps individuals by handling all concerns as a fiscal intermediary.

Homes for Autism

Homes for Autism provides and maintains houses for adults with autism and developmental disabilities. Homes for Autism exists to help people with autism achieve their best and to live and grow towards a better quality of life. Homes for Autism provides housing for some of the folks served by Genesis.

Lau & Lau Associates

The principal business aim for Lau & Lau is to provide high quality private wealth and employee benefit planning services and corresponding solutions. Lau & Lau helps Genesis to obtain and maintain benefit packages for our employees.

Macomb County Community Mental Health (MCCMH)

Macomb County Community Mental Health provides quality services which promote recovery, community participation, self-sufficiency, and independence to residents of Macomb County.

Macomb-Oakland Regional Center (MORC)

MORC is a human services agency that coordinates long-term supports for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities and the elderly in Southeast Michigan. Genesis partners with MORC as the organization provides supports coordination and other services to many individuals served by Genesis.

Michigan Assisted Living Association (MALA)

MALA is a nonprofit organization with 1,000 members (including Genesis) providing services to over 37,000 persons throughout the state including older adults and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness, substance use disorders, traumatic brain injuries or physical disabilities. MALA is a leader in Michigan for advocacy, education, and resources for providers of residential, assisted living, vocational and other community-based services.

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS)

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is a department of state of Michigan, that provides public assistance, child and family welfare services, and oversees health policy and management.

Michigan Protection and Advocacy (MPAS)

Michigan Protection & Advocacy Service, Inc. (MPAS) is the independent, private, nonprofit organization designated by the governor of the State of Michigan to advocate and protect the legal rights of people with disabilities in Michigan. MPAS services include information and referral, short-term assistance, selected individual and legal representation, systemic advocacy, monitoring, and training.

Network180

Network180 is the community mental health authority for Kent County. Network180 connects individuals and their families to services for mental illness, substance use disorders or developmental disabilities.

Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN)

Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN), formerly Oakland Community Mental Health Authority (OCCMHA), leads a provider service network that for service provided to individuals including those who have an intellectual/developmental disability, adults with a mental illness, children with serious emotional disturbance, and persons with substance use disorders.

Parent Alliance of Metro Detroit

The Parent Alliance of Metro Detroit is a group consisting of parents, guardians and advocates whose lives are touched by someone with a developmental disability. The group is organized for people to tell their story, share their experiences and work together to improve quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities The group also aims to be a “one-stop shop” for resources and information about services, issues and events.

Personal Accounting Services (PAS)

Personal Accounting Services helps individuals with disabilities to hire organizations such as Genesis. PAS assists individuals by handling concerns for individuals as a fiscal intermediary.

PHI

PHI offers a range of services that help providers such as Genesis attract quality workers, promote excellent care, reduce turnover, and achieve cost efficiencies. PHI works to ensure quality care for older adults and people with disabilities by creating quality jobs for direct care workers.

Special Olympics Michigan

Special Olympics Michigan a state chapter of Special Olympics, an organization that provider year round sports training and athletic competition to children and adults with disabilities. Many individuals served by Genesis participate on in sports with Area 15.
